How it happened
Greenfield was announced and launched publicly on 17 October 2023. The network centers on storage: decentralized storage providers hold off-chain data while on-chain mechanisms manage permissions, and native bridges connect Greenfield with BNB Smart Chain.
What it changed
Greenfield filled the data-storage layer in a multi-chain architecture. Developers can build services around decentralized custody, content and data marketplaces, enabling new modes of collaboration between data and smart-contract ecosystems.
