Backing the builders
The BSC Accelerator Fund was launched to provide liquidity and support for projects building on BSC, giving developers and early DeFi projects new ecosystem resources beyond the mainnet itself.
How it happened
Although the mainnet already provided EVM compatibility, smart contracts, and cross-chain foundations, the early ecosystem still required projects, liquidity, and tooling to take root. According to the project's 2020 retrospective, the BSC Accelerator Fund was launched on September 11 to support project launches and liquidity building.
What it changed
The program translated post-mainnet technical availability into incentives for project deployment, helping early protocols such as AMMs and lending platforms attract ecosystem attention and move from experimentation toward broader user adoption.
